“Lula Washington’s stature as an expresser of inner-city culture has become as distinctive and important as the social-revelatory work of enormous dance talents such as Martha Graham and Twyla Tharp.”
– Reno-Gazette Journal
This world-class, Los Angeles-based contemporary modern dance ensemble performs innovative and provocative choreography by founder Lula Washington, who has steadfastly focused on using dance to explore social and humanitarian issues, including aspects of African American history and culture. The company will perform works by modern-day choreographers Lula Washington, Tamica Washington-Miller, Rennie Harris, David Roussève and Christopher Huggins, inspiring audiences both young and old.
