About the Work

On-Call stagehands & technicians work on the stage crew for events using the PAC. The work schedule is dependent upon the scheduled usage of the facility and is highly variable. Job assignments are made based on needs, skills and availability from a pool of qualified personnel.

Work with professionals and local groups. Stagehands & technicians operate the sound, lighting and rigging systems, as well as set-up and tear-down for a wide variety of events, including dance, plays, meetings, and large lecture classes. They also work on maintenance of equipment, sweeping/cleaning work and chair-and-table setups. They can also work in wardrobe and costuming, makeup, wigs and hair and many other duties.

The job involves daytime, night and weekend work, as well as lifting and climbing. This is NOT a steady job with regular, assigned hours. We cannot guarantee anyone a minimum number of hours. All work is based on usage of the PAC and the artists' technical requirements, and is highly variable.

Previous experience in at least one technical theatre field or audio-visual is preferred, but any enthusiastic, hard workers are welcome. Training on our equipment is provided.
